Enermax unleash 1,700W ‘mining’ PSU (peak 1,800W+) PSU @ Cebit

The mining of cryptocurrency has caused a worldwide shortage in the supply of key components for high end power supplies. If the latest launch from Enermax is anything to go by, it's not getting better anytime soon.

On the vast Enermax stand at CeBIT 2014, we came across a bit of a beast.

A power supply that you can use as part of a body building challenge must be a good thing, right?

But what's the wattage?

This behemoth is marked up for 1,700w – with we're assured that it can blow past 1,800w when needed.

Expect this on UK shelves with little change from £300. Running a high end SLI or Crossfire system? well this power supply is equipped with no less than 12 x 6+2 pin PCIe connectors. Ideal for hardcore miners.
