There will be a new batch of games announced for PS+ subscribers next week and like most months, they have leaked ahead of time. Surprisingly, The Callisto Protocol will be headlining, less than a year after the hyped horror game's launch.
The Callisto Protocol released in December last year to mixed reception. Prior to launch, the game had a lot of hype behind it, in part due to it coming from the creator of Dead Space at his new studio. However, Glen Schofield has since left Striking Distance, leaving the studio's future in limbo. From the sounds of it, we won't be getting a Callisto Protocol 2.
The Callisto Protocol will be free for PS+ Essential subscribers to claim starting on the 3rd of October. It will be joined by Farming Simulator 22 and a mysterious third game. While Bilbil-Kun used to release full line-up leaks, they have since decided to only reveal a few key games for each PS+ update, rather than the full slate. Still, the accuracy of the reports has not changed.
Sony should be officially announcing the next round of PS+ titles later this week.
KitGuru Says: Due to the mixed reception at launch, I haven't tried The Callisto Protocol for myself yet but I'm very much looking forward to giving it an install now that it is coming to PS+. Will you be downloading it in October?
