New Steam Sale and Steam Fest dates revealed

In recent years, Valve has essentially stopped trying to keep Steam Sale details secret and the company is much more open about its schedule. On the Steam developer site, Valve has now revealed the schedule for all upcoming sales and ‘Steam Fests' for the next six months.

The schedule includes Steam Fests, which are genre-themed events on Steam, often involving sales, new game demos and developer live streams. In addition, the key seasonal sales are also revealed here.

Here is the full schedule:

  • SHMUP Fest: September 25 – October 2
  • Next Fest: October 9 – 16
  • Return of Steam Scream Fest (Halloween): October 26 – November 2
  • Autumn Sale: November 21 – 28 (major seasonal sale)
  • Winter Sale: December 21 – January 4, 2024 (major seasonal sale)
  • Capitalism and Economy Fest: January 8 – 15, 2024
  • Pirates vs. Ninjas Fest: January 22 – 29, 2024
  • Next Fest: February 5 – 12, 2024
  • Remote Play Together: February 12 – 19, 2024
  • Dinos vs. Robots Fest: February 26 – March 4, 2024
  • Spring Sale: March 14 – 21, 2024 (major seasonal sale)
  • Deckbuilders Fest: March 25 – April 1, 2024

Knowing these dates, you may be able to plan your game purchases out a bit. With so many titles coming out each month, and the prices of new games increasing, you'll now be able to have a rough idea as to when you might be able to pick up certain titles a bit cheaper if you skip them at launch.

KitGuru Says: While Steam sales used to be a bit more exciting with their rotating Flash sales, the sales have become much more standardised in recent years but there are still decent offers to be found each time. Is there anything you'll be saving on your wishlist for an upcoming sale?
