Amazon now lets you shop on Twitter

Amazon launched a new service yesterday called #AmazonCart, the online retailer is hoping that you'll be scrolling through Twitter, see an Amazon link and and want to buy the product on less than 140 characters worth of information. In order to add Twitter items to your cart, all you have to do is reply to a tweet containing an Amazon link with the hashtag #AmazonCart, the item will then be added to your cart on Amazon to pay for later.

Using the hashtag doesn't automatically pay for your items and once Twitter is linked to your Amazon account, there isn't a way to pay for items there and then- it strictly only adds items to your cart to pay for later. Something that may confuse some is that the hashtags are different depending on what country you're in. For example, in the US #AmazonCart works but that won't work in the UK, this side of the Atlantic will need to use #AmazonBasket instead.

While not everyone will find this new shopping system useful, it may be a good way to bookmark items to look at closer later on, possibly when you're home from work or done with your daily commute. Twitter has actually been working on its own shopping system for a while but the company hasn't shared much about its plans.

KitGuru Says: This may be a good way for content creators with Amazon affiliate links to make some extra money as it will be easier for Twitter users to add things to their carts. It might also make Twitter a dangerous place for impulse buyers, I don't often see Amazon links to things I want on my Twitter feed but maybe I'm the only one. Do you guys think this could be a useful feature?

The launch of the new Intel Core Ultra 200S family of CPUs along with Z890 motherboards was a thorny process. KitGuru suffered along with pretty much every other review site on the planet and you may have noticed we held off from reviewing of the Core Ultra 9 285K, Core Ultra 7 265K and Core Ultra 5 245K as it is clear to us that Intel has some work to do before this platform is ready for action.
