One of the more unusually named items in the history of computing, there's no denying that the Phanteks products we've seen so far DESERVE to stand out. With today's launch of the latest version, KitGuru wonders if this specialist engineering and design company can pull it off again?
Not only did the original Enthoo do well as a stand alone product. back in August last year, it also mastered the KitGuru Annual Awards – picking up top spot among all chassis. Here's a key section of that review – so you know what Phanteks' latest offer is up against.
Impressive stuff.
So what will you be getting with this year's release of the Enthoo Pro?
In a nutshell, it has the following qualities:-
- Full Tower Chassis
- Simulated Brushed Aluminium Front and Top Panels
- Ultimate Water Cooling Solution
- Removable Dust Filters
- Innovative Reservoir Bracket
- Modular HDD Cages
- Drop-N-Lock SSD Brackets
We like the sound of ‘Drop-n-Lock' for drives.
At the front, there is a massive 200mm ultra quiet fan and another 140mm fan in the rear. Adding more fans is straightforward and you should enjoy smooth air flow with the ‘hidden PSU and drive bays' design.
Water cooling is well taken care of – with up to 4 mounting points for your radiator systems.
Overall, you can see where Phanteks has tried to make its multi-award winning design available to a wider audience, with the promise of sub £90 pricing for the windowed version.
KitGuru says: We will be putting this chassis through its paces in the KitGuru Labs shortly – with one eye on its predecessors performance and another on the new challenger's price tag.
