Turtle Beach launches membership scheme for pro gamers

Turtle Beach, the long term maker of gaming headsets for both PC and consoles, has announced that it will be launching an elite membership programme for competitive and professional gamers. The scheme will offer benefits and discounts to anyone who buys an Elite gaming headset.

Members of the new programme will get an extended two year warranty on items as well as early access to news and product information. Discounts will be given on other Turtle Beach products and there will be events held at Major League gaming tournaments.

Bob Picunko, Chief Marketing Officer at Turtle Beach said: “The Turtle Beach Elite Membership Program is an exclusive offering for tournament professionals and competitive gamers. The Elite program will offer a range of benefits and access to unique gaming-related opportunities.”

The Elite Membership scheme will launch this Autumn alongside the new Elite gaming headsets which are due to début at E3 next week. The elite headsets are specifically designed to meet the needs of professional tournament players and will be marketed accordingly.

KitGuru Says: Turtle Beach make some pretty good headsets but lots of pro gamers are actually sponsored and have their equipment supplied to them from companies like Steel Series or Razer. A sponsorship programme may have made more sense.  Do any of you guys own a Turtle Beach headset? What do you think of it?
