If you own a Gigabyte motherboard based on Intel 600 and 700 series chipsets, the newly released BIOS might be worth installing. The update brings a redesigned user interface, with changes made based on user feedback to make settings easier to navigate.
The new “Quick Access” feature simplifies access to a variety of options through nine useful presets from Advanced Mode and adds them to Easy Mode. This change reduces the need for users to search for frequently used profiles in the future, as they'll now be immediately visible on the main page.
As seen in the images above, the user interface comes in four different colours that correspond to the Aorus, Aorus White, Gaming, and Aero product series. It's also worth noting that the “Instant 6GHz” function now takes centre stage on the main screen, with a toggle that is easily accessible. This feature was originally unveiled with the first wave of 700 series motherboards, but it seems older motherboards will also get it.
The latest BIOS versions (which also upgrade Microcode CPUID to ver. 0x11D) are now available for download by visiting the model's respective support page.

KitGuru says: Although this update isn't mandatory for current systems, those who often access the BIOS to change the settings may find that the redesigned UI is better. If you rarely go there and your PC is working fine, it should be fine to skip it.
