MSI and Capcom team up for limited edition Monster Hunter-themed hardware

At the Tokyo Game Show this month, MSI had a surprising announcement. The company is teaming up with Capcom to produce new limited edition PC gaming gear for the 20th Anniversary of Monster Hunter.

The Monster Hunter series has been popular in Japan for decades but it only recently became a huge franchise in the west with the release of Monster Hunter World. The more recent game, Monster Hunter Rise, has also been very popular, selling millions of copies worldwide. The franchise is celebrating its 20th anniversary in March 2024 and it looks like we can expect some limited edition MSI hardware and peripherals to commemorate the occasion.

The collaboration will include limited edition gaming laptops, monitors, graphics cards, motherboards, cases, liquid coolers and RGB/fan controllers. All with a new, Monster Hunter design twist.

Speaking on the collaboration, MSI's VP of marketing, Sam Chrn, said: “This collaboration leverages the expertise of both companies to create a collection of aesthetic and technology gaming products”.

The specific Monster Hunter x MSI products have not been unveiled yet so we'll have to wait to see more in early 2024.

KitGuru Says: I do like that we are starting to see more hardware collabs. We've seen Evangelion-themed PC gear in recent years, as well as limited edition hardware for major games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Starfield. Is there a game, anime/manga or film/TV series you would like to see a limited edition set of PC hardware for?
