Android L confirmed for Nexus 4 and original Nexus 7

The list of devices set to receive Google's new Android L update has expanded to include all Nexus devices after the Nexus 4. This means that the update will roll out to the Original Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and the Nexus 4 handset.

This is all thanks to Google releasing the source code for more devices, which has allowed developers to install the Android L operating system on more devices.

Android L was announced during Google's I/O developers conference with a new design and a whole slew of new features. I/O attendees already have access to the update on Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 5 devices.

Android owners will be able to install an Android L custom ROM soon but the official, final release of the software won't be until October when Google launches its next phone.

KitGuru Says: Android L seems like a pretty nice update, I think a lot of users were beginning to get a bit bored of Jelly Bean- which stuck around for longer than anybody expected.
