Cherry’s KC 200 MX is the first pre-built keyboard featuring the new MX2A switches

Cherry is well known for its MX range of mechanical keyboard switches, often featuring on keyboards from other brands. However, Cherry also makes its own fully built keyboards. This week, Cherry is launching the KC 200 MX board, the first to keyboard to feature the company's all-new MX2A mechanical switches.

The MX2A switches are the latest switches from Cherry, featuring a gold crosspoint contact system that ensures accuracy and responsiveness. The KC 200 MX keyboard also boasts noise-reducing springs and premium-grade lubrication for smooth and silent typing. Other keyboard features include anti-ghosting and N-key rollover, providing a lag-free experience. Users can choose from various MX2A switches, including MX2A Silent Red and MX2A Brown, ready to withstand up to 100 million clicks.

The keyboard has two colour options: black/bronze and white/silver. It features an anodised aluminium plate and laser-etched ABS keycaps. The keyboard's snap-out feet are height-adjustable and sturdy, providing a solid foundation, while the four unique keys above the numeric pad provide quick access to the calculator app and volume settings. Built-in status LEDs for Caps, Scroll, and Num Locks provide instant visual indication for active functions.

For a more comfortable and relaxed typing experience, the keyboard can be used with Cherry's Palmrest Ergo. Moreover, you can also use the Cherry Keys software to customise the keyboard's function keys and create unique shortcuts. At $89.99, the KC 200 MX is an affordable option for those who want a premium typing experience without any unnecessary frills.
