Final version of Watch Dogs E3 graphics mod released

The final and stable version of The Worse Mod has been released, allowing those of you that still have Watch Dogs installed to experience the game with its original E3 graphical settings along with increased NPC density and performance improvements.

The mod was revealed shortly after Watch Dogs was released, proving that Ubisoft intentionally disabled several in-game effects after the E3 demos. Version 1.0 of the mod offers some minor improvements over V0.99 but it does further tweak the depth of field and bloom options for the game while also fixing up some of the mod's previous issues.

While the mod is feature complete now, there are other things you can do to make Watch Dogs look even better. MaLDo, the modder behind several Crysis 2 mods has released an Ultra texture fix that will remove the stuttering effect experienced by some GPU's in the base game.

One of the big features of the worse mod is the ability to increase NPC population, Watch Dogs was advertised as having a living, breathing world but when it came out some gamers found it to be a little too empty in some areas. This mod fixes that while improving performance and graphics, it seems to be the best way to play the game.

KitGuru Says: Ubisoft gave Watch Dogs an extra eight months of development time with a full team of people to finish the game, yet we found PC options removed because they weren't optimized enough. Now this modder has optimized those removed settings by himself in just two months after the game's release. It's a shame we couldn't see what state the game was in October last year so we can compare and see exactly what changes were made before the official release. Do any of you guys use The Worse Mod? Do any of you guys still play Watch Dogs?

KitGuru Games: Omni-movement culminates 30 years of FPS innovation

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.

  1. If my current GPU could run Watch Dogs in the first place I would definitely try this out 😛 Soon to be R.I.P, my beloved 560ti with shitty fans :”(

  2. I can run it with my GTS 450. The mod improved my performance if anything.

  3. I managed to run it with a 560ti

  4. Do your 560ti have one broken fan and one halfbroken, wobbly fan? It’s literally living on my other case fans and is about 3 years old now so it’s soon time for it to die.

  5. Lucky xD My 560ti’s not so playable at all, though. it is living on case fans and one wobbly fan on it.

  6. get an aftermarket cooler mate.
you might even find old 560ti coolers on ebay or the like. worth a try IMO

  7. Depends really, it’s hard to find after market coolers in most countries. I’ve never seen one where I live, you’d have to order it and pa for shipping costs.

  8. if u dont got a quad core or somthing to keep up with the 560 ti’s draw calls ur fps will suck.

  9. btw that broken fan could be heating it up more. causing ur frequency to drop as graphics cards drop frequency to protect itself.

If my single fan asus Radeon HD 7700 can run it low-medium full hd i doubt you can’t with a 560ti

I should try it with my new gigabyte R7 270X soon

  12. Remove the broken fan, it will be hindering the airflow.

4790K 780ti ready to uninstall the game ahahah

  14. My computer was one great big broken wobbly fan.

It’s kinda sad how Watch_Dogs got too much hype, backfired on it (played the game for 2 weeks before returning to GTAV), and now Ubisoft is receiving tons of backlash from the community for their PR botch jobs on Far Cry 4 and Assassin’s Creed: Unity, revving up to be a contender for the next Worst Gaming Company after EA.

  16. 4790k, 780. Unsintalled it after their first “patch” made it worse, never looked back. lol

  17. Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X OC. – With TheWorseMod installed, I’ve found it runs smoother, with a higher frame rate, much less stuttering, improved visuals and a mild drop in GPU temp.

It’s a shame that Ubisoft couldn’t release the game in this condition from the start

  19. i had a pretty good quad at 3.8 GHZ, still shit performance

game wont even start on high textures, so wont have any luck with the mod far a while

  20. maybe there’s some weird problem going on, it seams nearly all the 560’s are giving out well below what they should be

  21. well 30-40fps at 1080p with a 560ti. if ur running 1080p its a no brainer on y ur fps will be garbage. thats if you are running 1080p. btw im only going off other builds iv seen around. i currently use a 650 ti 2gb overclocked. plus make shure in msi afterburner ur not going over ur gpu’s memory max.

How does it perform with 6700k 980ti?

Got a 900p monitor, so can it maintain 60 fps on low?
