MSI show off upcoming Z97 black and white motherboard

The cat is out of the bag, MSI is coming out with a black and white themed Z97 motherboard dubbed the ‘Z97 SLI Krait Edition'. This new motherboard was born out of sheer consumer demand.

Color themed PC builds have become pretty common in recent years, something that MSI knows very well as the company has released an entire line of red and black themed “gaming” products.

We've shared a few black and white PC builds in recent months on our Facebook page. It's clear that there is a demand for color themed products, hopefully this will lead to system builders having more options for themes without having to go through the process of modding.

There are no technical specifications or further details available at this time.

KitGuru Says: That's certainly a nice looking motherboard and is a refreshing change of pace from all of the red and black themed motherboards that we have seen recently. What do you guys think? Would you use this for a black and white build?

  1. This would look really nice with a white/black H440. I wouldn’t do it though as the white H440 is a bit too white for me 😛

  2. I am really digging all these new color options available now. No more ugly PCBs. This inside a white Define R4 with a black and white HSF like the Phanteks PH-TC12DX_BK would make for one slick-looking machine.

  3. Yes, I will be keeping my eye on this one… Mine is B&W themed at the moment, and something like this would fit better than the Extreme4 I currently run.

  4. Wtf it looks so clean and organized.

  5. That right there is my next board, ty MSI.

  6. Now this is awesome. I’ve been having a hard time picking a motherboard because of its color doesn’t match with my build but with this my masterpiece is complete <3
