However, it's still worth shopping around for the best deal just in-case, right now Asus has teamed up with Samsung to offer customers up to £100 cash back if they purchase an Asus X99 motherboard with a Samsung Evo 850 Pro SSD.

Eligible Asus X99 motherboards include the X99-Deluxe, X99 Rampage 5 Extreme and the X99-A*. Eligible Samsung solid state drives include the 850 Evo Pro 256GB, 512GB and the 1TB model.

You can check out the full details on this offer and how much you can claim back over on the Overclockers UK website. Remember, you only have until the 12th of October to take advantage of this and will need to retain proof of purchase for up to two weeks in order to have money credited back to you.

KitGuru Says: Not a bad offer if you're planning an X99 build. That £100 saving could make the difference between getting a 5820k or a 5930k CPU. Are any of you guys looking into switching to X99? What do you think of Intel's new 8 core CPU?

The launch of the new Intel Core Ultra 200S family of CPUs along with Z890 motherboards was a thorny process. KitGuru suffered along with pretty much every other review site on the planet and you may have noticed we held off from reviewing of the Core Ultra 9 285K, Core Ultra 7 265K and Core Ultra 5 245K as it is clear to us that Intel has some work to do before this platform is ready for action.

  1. I will definately be grabbing that deal if it becomes available here in Germany, and usually the samsung cash backs are always available here. The asus x99 is still not available at my normal dealer (Conrad) so hopefully it will be available soon. As mentioned above the deal will definately make me think of upgrading the cpu but if not I will use the cash back for a second samsung drive for a secondary raid array.
