Ubisoft doesn’t think Assassin’s Creed’s quality will ever drop

Ubisoft appears to be so confident in its Assassin's Creed franchise that it would be “unimaginable” to ever let its quality drop and according to AC: Unity Director, Alex Amancio, the dev team has the process “down to a science”.

During an interview, Amancio said that they key to the franchise's success is actually the development team itself, stating that the team has been making these games for so long now that they “have it down to a science”, he told Game Informer.

“We've done this for a long time and we've gotten it down to a science. Maybe the first one it was like, ‘Oh, what do we do?' But now, it's just our daily business. We've been lucky, and I think it's mostly because of the people who are behind the product.”

“The Assassin's Creed people, we're a huge family, and we love this brand so much that I think it's unimaginable for us to ever let this ball drop. We need to always make the best game that we can possibly make. And so far, that heart and that level of effort and professionalism, has always pulled us through.”

Ubisoft games all do tend to fit a specific formula, involving large open worlds, tower points that unlock quests on the map and lots of side content. By the sounds of things, that formula isn't going to change any time soon, especially when it comes to Assassin's Creed. However, if the publisher doesn't change things up, eventually people will get bored and move on.

KitGuru Says: Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed and even Far Cry 3, all play very similarly to eachother. It's clear that Ubisoft has an open world game forumla that it applies to multiple franchises. Have any of you guys noticed this? Do you think Ubisoft needs to change things up a bit?

KitGuru Games: Omni-movement culminates 30 years of FPS innovation

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.

  1. Well if it runs on Uplay then the quality has dropped its the worse DRM system we have had for a good few years its like they took what Valve and EA was doing with Steam & Origin and threw it out the window the look of it is horrid and when it works its still not even that fast compared to other services its a joke and ubisoft should be ashamed

  2. What about increasing to decent level?

  3. It dropped after AC2.

  4. shut about about AC2!!! fanboys and their old games that can do no wrong make me want to slap them several times

  5. It was only decent when it involved religious myth and a fictional tale of Humanity’s origin … When it became a means of making a quick buck, I lost interest …. Some games are made because of their kick ass story … Once the story became spin offs and side tales, It was no longer assassins creed …

  6. All new Assasins Creed are like reheated food.. reheated for so many times that it is no more eatable. However, it is quite similar with other games, such as COD, nothing really changed since COD4 and COD5. Settlers (it is just getting worse and worse). Civ 5, where the developers forgot about essential things while having a conflict. WOW, where most of the people just stoped at WOLTK or CATA and they are no longer playing the new versions. The truth is that most of the game, which were superb, currently are just made for money, and next versions of it are just worse and worse than the previous.

Thats my Opinion.. and I’m ready for the hate!
