The Final Fantasy XIII trilogy is coming to Steam

Way back in February, Square Enix stated that it was interested in bringing more Final Fantasy games to the PC platform and now, it is delivering on that as the publisher has announced that the Final Fantasy XIII ‘Lightning' trilogy will be coming to Steam.

The first game in the series, Final Fantasy XIII, debuted back in 2009 and was originally going to be a PS3 exclusive. However, the game ended up coming to the Xbox 360 as well, spanning across 3 discs. At the time, Square Enix didn't want to release a PC port due to piracy concerns but has since changed its mind.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Final Fantasy XIII Lightning Returns will come to Steam over the coming months. In the mean time, you can pre-order the first installment to the series for £9.89. The price will go up a bit once the game has released though, bringing it up to £10.99.

If you haven't played the Final Fantasy XIII games then now might be your chance. However, it might be worth waiting to see if the port is any good first.

KitGuru Says: I only got half way through the first Final Fantasy XIII game on the 360, if the PC port is any good then I may revisit it and actually beat it this time around. What do you guys make of this announcement? Did you ever play Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox 360 or PS3?

KitGuru Games: Omni-movement culminates 30 years of FPS innovation

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.

  1. Now if only a couple more of my 360 games move over, i wont need to use it :O

  2. I wants my Halo : (.

Meh about most of them but 3 was so good multiplayer and coop story with four people, I want it for nostalgia reasons. Apart from that it’s pretty much only Red Dead Redemption that I’d really love to see on PC, but that’s never going to happen.

  3. yea cuz Halo 1 and 2 are both on PC.
