Samsung Galaxy Note 4 delayed in the UK

The UK release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has been pushed back a bit due to high demand. The Korean device maker originally promised that the Note 4 would be available from the 10th of October but has since confirmed that the launch will now take place on the 17th.

Samsung announced this small delay on Twitter in a reply to an eager shopper who had noticed a slip in release date. The firm said: “Hi. Due to the amazing interest and demand for the Galaxy Note 4, the device will now go on sale in the UK from the 17th October.”

This suggests that Samsung has received a decent amount of pre-orders since the phone originally went on sale last month. However, the firm has yet to confirm if this is true or elaborate on its tweet.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was announced over a month ago, sporting a 5.7 Inch 1440p display, a 2.7 GHz quad-core snapdragon 805 CPU and 3GB of RAM. The handset runs Google's latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS with Touch Wiz slapped on top. There is currently no news on how soon the device will receive an update to Android L, which will officially launch this month alongside new Nexus devices.
