Square Enix has revealed its upcoming MMO expansion pack, Heavensward, the first major expansion to the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Heavensward will launch during the Spring of 2015, introducing the northern city of Ishgard, featuring new story missions focussing on Ishgard's war with Dravania.
Alongside the new story missions and areas to explore, players will be able to play as a new race and group together to build and pilot air ships. A short teaser trailer for the expansion pack has also been released: [yframe url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68CNzwinqlg']
Speaking at the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival in Las Vegas, game producer, Naoki Yoshida revealed that the expansion will also raise the level cap from 50 to 60 for all jobs and professions.
New dungeons, jobs, high-end raids, gear and recipes will also be coming. Not much else is known right now. You can buy Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on Amazon for £2.89 for the PS3, £24.99 for the PS4 and £18.99 for the PC. The game does require a monthly subscription, setting back buyers an extra £8.99 a month.

It’s definitely a lot more accessible than 11 was and pretty as well, just a shame the original launch of 14 was such a mess or it could have been a bigger contender as a lot of people got burnt.
