V-Sync has been a necessary evil for some time. Fortunately though, in the past year Nvidia came up with its own version of the technology which makes for a smoother synchronisation between GPU and display and does away with input lag. You do need a compatible monitor for it though and they can get expensive.
Of course you could just win one from us, as today we've teamed up with ASUS to offer one of its PG2780 ROG Swift 144Hz G-Sync monitors. It's 27 inches diagonally, with a WQHD 2560 × 1440 resolution and features a gamer-grade 1ms response time. It's easily one of the best all-round displays out there at the moment and we thought as such when we tested one earlier this year.
So how do you go about winning this fine display? Well, since it's one of the ‘swiftest' monitors around, you need to show ASUS just how swift you can be. In a still image, or short video clip (Vine, Instagram, Youtube etc.) You can be funny, serious or just plain strange, but whatever you decide to do in the end, send it in to ASUS here.
You can also earn bonus points if you manage to include some ASUS products in your creation.
Once you've come up with your image or video, you need to send it over to ASUS on its competition page and vote for your favourite. Of course, everyone is probably going to vote for themselves, so it would help if you got your friends to vote for you too.
At the end of the voting period (26th November), ASUS will tally up the points you've earned (including bonus points from ASUS product placement) to decide who the winner is. That lucky person will then get themselves one of the best gaming monitors out there.
