Warner Bros is set to be hit with a company wide wave of layoffs later this week according to multiple reports. This could very well have a significant effect the Interactive Enterainment division which is responsible for publishing the Batman Akrham series, The Witcher series, the FEAR series along with several Lord of the Rings titles, including LOTR Online and Shadow of Mordor.
According to Game Informer, a staff memo written by CEO, Kevin Tsujihara, mentions imminent restructuring, which may result in cutting as many as 1000 jobs globally: “These are difficult decisions, and we don’t take them lightly. We examined every aspect of our businesses to ensure that we were restructuring in a way that would allow us to minimise the impact on our employees, while continuing to adapt to the changing global marketplace.”
Additional cuts are expected to follow during the first few months of 2015, although it is unclear how Warner Bros gaming operations will be affected specifically at this time. However, last month we did get word that Lord of the Rings Online developer, Turbine Studios, was to suffer from these job cuts.

KitGuru Says: While Warner Bros doesn't own every studio it publishes games for, it does have a stake in most of them. Hopefully gaming studios like Monolith, which was responsible for Shadow of Mordor, won't be affected too hard.
