Amazon listings hint at Sunset Overdrive and Forza Horizon 2 PC release

We've seen several Xbox One exclusives come to the PC so far and it looks like there are even more to come as Amazon France prematurely launched listings for PC versions of both Sunset Overdrive and Forza Horizon 2, with Windows 7 or 8 listed as available platforms.

The Sunset Overdrive listing has already been pulled, much like the advert that was spotted last month, stating that the game would be available on Xbox One and PC. The same goes for the Forza Horizon 2 listing, neither listing had a release date, although Forza had an expected ship date of 1-2 months.

So far, it appears that Microsoft's plan is to launch games on the Xbox One first but slowly win over the PC crowd with a port a few months later. Xbox Head, Phil Spencer, has previously stated that Microsoft has plans for PC gaming in the future but noted that more information wouldn't be coming until 2015.

Premature retail listings from big chains like Amazon are usually a good indication that a game is coming, although that's not always the case. While Amazon was on the money previously with a listing for Tomb Raider the Definitive Edition at the start of this year, there has been several Grand Theft Auto V listings and ‘release dates' that never came to fruition prior to the game's announcement for the PC.

KitGuru Says: These PC game releases could be Microsoft's way of transitioning back to focusing on software sales rather than pushing hardware like the Xbox One. Either way this is potentially good news for PC gamers. Sunset Overdrive is a pretty good game, maybe Microsoft will consider bringing Halo to the PC next. Do you guys think Microsoft should continue porting its Xbox exclusives to the PC?

KitGuru Games: Omni-movement culminates 30 years of FPS innovation

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.

  1. Good news I guess as long as they aren’t terrible ports. I loved Forza 3 and would love to have something similar on PC, I’ve found it to be the perfect mix between arcade and simulator.

  2. Halo on PC will make me so happy.

  3. Yeah, Halo please, finally.

  4. Forza Horizon on PC will make my year. Wow.

  5. agreed. Hopefully whatever Gears of War titles that they’re currently remaking/remastering will be available on PC as well.

  6. Forza Horizon 2 on PC :O :O
