Lies of P sells 1 million copies in less than a month

Lies of P released last month to a wave of success, with many deeming the Souls-like to be one of the best in the genre (outside of FromSoftware’s own titles of course). Just under one month since its arrival, the game has managed to surpass 1 million copies sold.

Making the exciting announcement on Twitter, the official Lies of P page said “Thank you for 1 million copies sold…We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the citizens of Krat. Thank you to everyone who helped us and accompanied us and we hope you join in our future journeys as well.”

This figure is doubly impressive when considering the fact that Lies of P was made available day-one on Xbox Game Pass – meaning the total number of players is likely significantly higher.

For the uninitiated, Lies of P is Bloodborne-inspired action-RPG which lets you play as the famous Pinocchio in a cruel, dark Belle Époque world. The team at Neowiz have been highly receptive to fans over the past months, with them making many gameplay tweaks based on feedback from the beta earlier this year.

All this had led to a title which is polished, positively inspired and purposeful in its intent – and has clearly resonated with fans. It will be interesting to see what the team at Neowiz does next.
