Ubisoft aiming to fix remaining AC:U issues with patch 4

Ubisoft has updated its live blog once again, this time to let us know that Assassin's Creed: Unity's fourth patch is still in development, but it should fix a large number of issues on all platforms, including a number of crashes and problems with the companion app. The patch should have a release date some time this week, according to a moderator comment on the post.

There are four top priority issues that this patch will address, a bug that causes the game to crash upon loading a save file, “Error CE-34878-0”, which is similar to the save file crash, Initiates legacy recognition issues and more problems with the companion app, which has resulted in lost items.

Those of you that bought the Assassin's Creed: Unity season pass while it was still available will be eligible for a free game. Ubisoft is currently working on a web based redeem system, although a launch date has yet to be announced. Users can choose from Far Cry 4, The Crew, Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, Dance Central and Rayman.

If you didn't buy the season pass, you will be getting some free DLC, which also doesn't have a release date yet. Ubisoft has previously stated that Patch 4 will address the game's poor performance issues on PC and PS4, a release date has yet to be announced but more information is expected this week.

KitGuru Says: Assassin's Creed Unity isn't quite fixed yet but hopefully it will be soon. Hopefully those who bought the Season Pass will also be able to grab their free game soon as well. How many of you guys got the Season Pass? Which free game are you going to choose? I think I'm going to go with Far Cry 4 myself.

  1. As beautiful as this game is, and as much as I want to love it, not being able to constantly be above 30 FPS, even with dual 290s, is killing it for me. The last patch made it basically unplayable for me as it freezes up every couple of seconds for like half a second.

But what about the PC fps issue fix? we know they know what the problem is, we know they’re working on it, but are they including it in patch 4? that’s the only important one

  3. What’s the patch called? Assassin’s Creed: Victory? followed by then needing updates for that “patch”.

  4. What’s the point of fixing Bugs and all other issues WHEN THE GAME RUNS AT FREAKING 7 FPS ON A GTX 770 ?
