We've seen plenty of Android smart watches announced over the last year, but what about a bracelet that can project your phone screen on to your wrist? Circlet is a new wearable concept that takes full advantage of the Android operating system, rather than giving you a smaller, more compact experience like Android Wear.
The Circlet uses a pico projector, 8 long range sensors and all of the extra hardware to make Android applications run. You can activate the projector by twisting your wrist, you can then start controlling your phone from your wrist. You can find a video below to see how it works: [yframe url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9J7GpVQCfms']
Circlet isn't a consumer product just yet, the company behind it isn't starting up a crowd funding campaign but is accepting donations, although this doesn't guarantee you a device. There is no release date set for the device either. The creator of the new wearable does have one application out though, it is also called Circlet but it is a messaging service.
While the device looks interesting, it seems to just be a concept for now and won't be available any time soon. However, it might be one to watch out for.

KitGuru Says: While device sounds pretty interesting in theory, it isn't a working consumer grade product just yet and it might never become one. Would you guys be interested in a wearable device like this? What do you think of the idea behind it?
Looks interesting but there’s a few stumbling blocks with projecting as we’ve seen when trying to use a tablet or phone in strong sunlight, etc. I will be keeping my eye on Cicret (Secret, I guess) though.
That “great” post editing though 😛 Also, I am pretty sure that the projection is at the forearm, not the wrist 😛 And what if you have REALLY hairy forearms? (yes, I am kicking on tiny things, so sue me! 🙂
I was thinking the same thing, I have sort of hairy arms, and wouldn’t want to shave just to use my wrist / forearm as a smartphone…
I’d shave underneath my arm, but not the top where it was obvious.
This just won’t work. There is no way to project an image from a bracelet onto your arm so you can use it like a touch screen. As soon as you touch it, anything below your finger disappears
…
Pretty useless if you’re wearing heavy clothing outside due to weather being cold or if its raining.
It has 8 proximity sensors detecting where your finger lands, just as a capacitive touchscreen works off by determining x and y coords so do the proximity sensors, pretty simple but smart design.
yes you would probably cut off some of the light but that’s assuming you go all the way down, I think the bracelet’s reader might lay above the projector to prevent that issue, but then there’s the issue of feedback I guess. I’m sure there will be a work around, there always is.
Looks like a novelty idea, but one that just won’t work as the concept hopes. There would be absolutely no way to make the image on the other side of your finger not disappear if it is being projected as stated. I also have my doubts on how accurate it would really be as far as registering your finger. I’m sure it could get in the ballpark, but inaccuracy is very frustrating. Cool video, but just don’t see it happening anytime soon.,
then dont get one lol
Sure it will, money will make anything work .if the send me the proto type i’ll let half the world know how good it is .they keep saying they need donations to get it started ,Heck 90% of us want it are they crazy .they just made te UK look and said we can do this an when they do i’m up on it .I already have two smart watches that nobody in the US have. if you want one E-mail me and you can get one too. PEACE””””
long sleeve
This is an interesting idea but needs more refinement and thought. I like the idea of the bracelet sensing touch movements – very doable with today’s optical IR technology. ALso, the touches don’t have to be right on the arm since the technology exists to detect air gestures around a centimeter or two above the actual surface so the issue of an image being blocked by fingers isn’t as big of a problem. Getting a micro projector to work that will project an image along the arm will be a challenge due to distortion of the light. If you’ve ever tried to project an image on a curved wall you’ll know what I mean. Accidental activation will be an issue. Still – interesting idea – needs refinement but these are all just problems to solve and get around.
You won’t be able to see the screen in bright lights. Notice all the scenes in the video are darker. No sun either.
I thikit should be avalible for purchase and would like to sample it in the real world
I agree with Alex Winters, but I have a hunch that if I can get my hands on one, I could probably make it work. It’s going to be hard work try to get it stabilised and not glitch, though.
I totally agree with you man.

It would be cool if it had a earbud doc/plug in.
For that, just stick your finger in your ear. The possibilities are endless.
mine works just fine.
The theory sounds good and I would like to see you launch this product, shout if you would like some help in development?
This has cancer written all over it
I want to bye this but where i can bye i dont know can u please contact me on +996773628545
