No device owner likes bloatware but at least you know it is there when you go to buy the device. However, that could change soon as operators start signing up for Ignite, a service that allows networks to force install bloatware on your device after you have already paid for it.
Android Pit reports that Digital Turbine's service is currently being touted to mobile operators. The main appeal for networks is that it will allow them to ship devices faster as they won't need to authorize or even develop first party apps prior to release. Instead they can get the device in your hands with no bloatware and then remotely force it on to your phone later.
US networks Verizon and T-Mobile are apparently on-board, other networks may follow suit. Bloatware generally consists of apps that are rarely used, clog up the operating system and sometimes can't be uninstalled unless you know what you are doing.
A lot of people choose to use custom roms as well in order to get the clean Android experience and remove junk applications.

It’s almost like the car/fuel companies forcing you carry heavy loads around in your car. Not only does it eat your battery level (Which you pay for in electricity) it also eats through the life of the phone as it makes it work harder for no reason.
Real estate agent- “This house comes with 1 million square meters of space!”
Buyer- “That’s awesome” – buys house
Real estate agent- “Now were just gonna fill up 950 meters of it with dirt”
This is not on. Yes it’s just a phone, power costs aside, it’s just the start to worse things. Like before you make a phone call you have to watch a damn advert!
this is pretty shameful. I hope that someone digs up a law somewhere that stops this from ever going live.
I’ve never rooted my phones before but if this becomes a common thing, I won’t hesitate to do so.
It’d be nice if this could be compared to car companies giving you the car, then a truckload of fuel to go with it…

Really? Absolutely disgusting. I can not believe that companies actually think this is a good idea. Any software on a phone should be optional and never installed without the owners consent. Oh well, I can see a lot more people choosing custom ROMS. Bloatware sucks. This whole idea is set to fail
Should be illegal, probably never will be. The best we can do is boycott networks that start doing this.
