Apple teases ‘scary fast’ Macs launching next week

We're a month on from the launch of the latest iPhone but Apple isn't done for the year just yet. As usual, the September iPhone event is being followed up by an extra hardware event in October. This time around, Apple is teasing “scary fast” Macs.

The October Mac event has become much more interesting in recent years, as Apple has transitioned over to Apple Silicon for its computers. The M1 and M2 chips both had impressive debuts but now, we should be getting our first look at the rumoured M3 Apple Processor.

Given Apple's recent moves in the gaming space, making deals to bring AAA games like Resident Evil Village and Death Stranding to certain iOS devices and Mac, we may see some interesting GPU news. At this point, Nvidia, AMD and Qualcomm all have their own form of Frame Generation technology, using AI to create new in-game frames to boost fluidity. Perhaps Apple has been working on something similar. With AI being the talk of the entire tech industry this year, I would be surprised if AI wasn't touched on in some capacity.

Of course, hardware-wise, we should see a new MacBook Pro and possibly even a new Mac Pro desktop.

The Apple Event takes place on the 30th of October so we'll have more news in just a few days time.
