Grand Theft Auto V PC requirements coming next week

Grand Theft Auto V's PC release date is swiftly approaching but we still don't know what sort of hardware we are going to need to run it. Fortunately, that will be changing next week as Rockstar has made it known that the PC version is in the final stages of development and the minimum and recommended specifications will be revealed in the coming week.

“We're presently in the final stages of development on the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 and hope to have confirmed official system requirements to share soon … in the coming week”, a Rockstar newswire post said.

Elsewhere in the blog post Rockstar also commented on the possibility of a Red Dead Redemption sequel: “As we've mentioned when asked in the past about new games in other series such as Red Dead Redemption, Bully and L.A. Noire, we don't always rush to make sequels, but that does not mean we won't get to them eventually. We have so many games we want to make and the issue is always one of bandwidth and timing.”

No word on a PC version of that game though … which is a shame.

  1. To all the Console owners, who used to say “GTA V” when PC Master Race appeared infornt of them on Comment sections along the web… I say to you “Yet again we have won, thanks for the beta testing, were getting the full game now…” Peace be with you, and do not stare on the PC Master Race for too long, for you shall melt like butter on a PS3…

  3. Well said Sir 😉

  4. Rockstar could put out a straight port of Red Dead Redemption for PC right now and I’d run out and buy it. One of my all time favorite games.

Uhhh… yeah. About that. We have game-capable PCs too, y’know. And the moment we transfer our PS3/Xbox characters, we’re gonna start tank-shitting on all the newbies we see online.

I don’t understand this mentality that you think console owners don’t have PCs. The only reason why there is a “Muh PC Mustard Rice” is because there are PC enthusiasts out there that put all their budget into upgrading their rig and not much else. It’s either:

    1) Buy a decent PC and console/s of your choice

    OR

    2) Buy and keep upgrading your current PC rig, leaving no budget for consoles

So don’t hate on console owners, we have nothing against you. Blame all the PC fanboys who keep harping on and on about console exclusives and parity.

  7. I’m pretty sure I have to spend at least $300 on a graphic cards in my country to play this game on a high settings. Baffling huh? Life is sad for PC gamer….

  8. Well see, I won’t waste money on a console myself, I think they are To costly for what they do. I dislike Controllers being that the only games I play are shooters and controllers just do not work well with Shooters because they are to slow and inaccurate. I also hate the fact that you are paying $60 for a game where its graphics quality has been cut because the console can not run it. Mean while PC gets more out of the game while paying the same price and sometimes cheaper.

  9. i did and didnt it all comes down to cost and if i can run it might wait for it to get cheap

  10. Personally I have consoles………………but I cant remember the last time I played games on one…..mainly just used as a media playing device for things I stream from my PC. I guess my main issue is that my PC is capable of much better graphics, performance and as many configurable buttons as I need than any console could offer me. I love that developers always save the better textures, features and improvements for PC users because they know our systems can handle it much better. Nothing better than seeing Crysis 3 at ultra settings and getting 120+ FPS.
