Yesterday, Nintendo announced the new 3DS XL for the US and UK markets alongside a brand new Majora's Mask themed edition. It turns out, people really really wanted the Zelda themed hand-held as it has pretty much sold out everywhere, just a day after pre-orders went live.
Over at GameStop, the Majora's Mask 3DS sold out in just 15 minutes online. Speaking with Polygon, a store representative said: “Online, the Majora's Mask bundle sold out within 15 minutes”.
GameStop customers could still go in-store to order one though. Best Buy has also sold out.
As a result of this high demand, scalpers have managed to get their orders in and then charge ridiculous prices for the console on eBay, with many listings going for as high as $400.
Amazon currently has no stock and there is no word on a UK release for the special edition new 3DS. Although, GAME UK do have a Monster Hunter 4 themed one available online.
Update: The UK can grab a Majora's Mask 3DS XL from the Nintendo UK Store, HERE. They appeared to be sold out at the time of writing so try checking back in a bit.

KitGuru Says: The new 3DS is rather tempting and the Majora's Mask themed model does look very nice. Hopefully Nintendo can sort some more stock out for the US , a UK release would also be appreciated. Are any of you guys planning on picking up one of the new 3DS models? I'm a little tempted to trade mine in for an upgrade.
Doesn’t even come with a charging cable, GG Nintendo.
Bundle comes with a free charging cable when bought from the Nintendo UK Store, GG Lawrance.
Good thing I pre-ordered mine this morning then.
It is weird enough to not own a DSi or 3DS until now.
