Borderlands 2 and pre-sequel coming to Xbox One and PS4

2K and Gearbox Software have announced Borderlands: The Handsome Collection for release on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The collection will contain Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel along with Borderlands 2 with all of the DLC included.

The remastered titles will launch in the US on the 24th of March while the rest of the world will have to wait until the 27th. The game will support cross-saves, meaning that those who have progress on the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 consoles will be able to transfer it over to the new consoles from Sony and Microsoft.

There will be a new four player split screen option included, allowing four players to play couch co-op style.

2K and Gearbox also revealed a pretty expensive limited edition collection, featuring a remote control Claptrap. Only 5000 of these units will be made available world wide and will cost $399. Aside from the Claptrap, you will also get a steel case and twelve lithographs.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel came out towards the end of last year. At the time, Gearbox said that it was still concentrating on last generation consoles due to the massive install base.

KitGuru Says: I am a little surprised that Borderlands 1 isn't also included in the collection. Either way, I do wonder just how successful this collection will be, Borderlands is a popular series but will people really want to buy it again to play on a new console? What do you guys think of remastered games? Personally, I think it makes sense sometimes but publishers seem to be taking it all a bit far now.

KitGuru Games: Omni-movement culminates 30 years of FPS innovation

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.

You know, I an honestly thinking of getting this on next gen. May even lay down the 400$ for the remote control claptrap lol

If I do ever want to play through bl1 and 2 again (Which I won’t) I’d just do a 4k downsample than buy this for my x1 thanks…. Gearbox running out of ideas? I think so.

  3. Borderlands 2 The Presequel was boring compared to the predecessor, but it had amazing PhysX effects, but nothing more.

  4. Why can’t we have 4 player split screen on the PC?
