The HTC M9 has been spotted in gold

HTC's upcoming flagship device, the HTC One M9, is set to be shown off at the Mobile World Congress next month. However, we already have our first look at the device, in gold, showing a familiar design, aside from the new camera.

The handset was formally known as Hima during the development process. The phone will continue to use the HTC One's famous metal build and the overall design remains familiar to the past two models. These new images were obtained and originally published by Nowhereelse.fr:

As you can see, aside from the square camera and new gold color, the design remains fairly unchanged to the last two models. The HTC One M9 is set to be officially revealed on the 1st of March at MWC.

Other rumors suggest that HTC will be following in Apple's footsteps with an HTC One and a slightly larger HTC One Plus.

KitGuru Says: The HTC One has been a game changer for HTC over the last couple of years. However, the company will need to switch things up eventually in order to avoid brand fatigue, something that Samsung had to learn the hard way.

  1. This looks like a 5 minute photoshop of a gold HTC One M8 to me. Non-story.

  2. My God you’re a rude bastard.

  3. Says the one who called me a ‘bastard’. Bravo, you’ve mastered irony.

  4. Taking the “high ground” now are we? Bravo, you’ve mastered hypocrisy.

  5. I’m not entirely sure what your problem is. I commented that this so called leak is clearly anything but – just look at the edge around the camera lens that has clearly been Photoshoped. I’m sick of seeing so-called leaks posted with such little research. They are tantamount to click-bait.

just to prove my point, here’s what I came up with in Photoshop in literally 5 minutes.
