Geoff Keighley’s annual The Game Awards show has become a staple of the industry, with each successive entry garnering more and more viewers. While some simply watch the show for its new game announcements, the awards portion itself also presents a great deal of excitement. Ahead of the show’s premiere on the 7th of December, the full list of nominees will be officially announced next week.
Taking to Twitter, the official Game Awards account revealed that the full list of nominees for 2023’s The Game Awards will go live on Monday the 13th of November at 5pm GMT. More than 30 categories in total will be detailed – including the all-important Game of the Year.
With 2023 being one of the best years in recent memory for gaming, it will be interesting to see which titles ultimately end up on the GOTY list. Just some of the potential games include:
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
- Baldur’s Gate 3
- Alan Wake II
- Resident Evil 4 Remake
- Super Mario Bros. Wonder
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- HI-FI RUSH
- Final Fantasy XVI
As always, you will be able to vote for your favourite games after the nominees have been revealed. That said, it is worth noting that the final results are determined primarily by industry voters – with fan votes only skewing the result to a small degree.
Regardless, it will be interesting to see which titles are nominated and which end up being snubbed.
