The Game Awards announces Fortnite collab

Geoff Keighley’s annual The Game Awards show has become a staple of the industry, with each successive entry garnering more and more viewers. Ahead of the 2023 show’s premiere on the 7th of December, Geoff Keighley has announced a collaboration with Fortnite, letting you vote in-game.

In anticipation of the 2023 Game Awards, a unique island has been created within Fortnite, letting players “Help The Game Awards select the best user-created Fortnite Island of 2023! Join host Geoff Keighley and Portal to 10 nominated islands! Cast your vote to pick your favorite! Collect The Game Awards statues for an XP boost.”

The island is live right now and can be accessed by using the code: 0853-1358-8532. While only allowing you to vote in a single specific category, we have seen The Game Awards experiment with a variety of voting means in the past, including letting you vote directly from within Google Search.

With this latest collaboration, it would not be surprising to see the entirety of the awards show be streamed live within Fortnite at some point in the future – if not even this year.
