AMD rumoured to launch Ryzen 7 5700X3D CPU in Q1 2024

AMD has some exciting plans for the beginning of 2024, according to the latest reports. Besides the reported updates to the AM5 platform, the AM4 platform is also expanding with new CPUs and APUs. While the AM5 socket will get the upcoming Ryzen 8000G APUs for desktops, the AM4 platform will receive the Ryzen 5000G series and two new Ryzen 5000 series chips with 3D V-Cache.

One exciting addition is the Ryzen 7 5700X3D, an 8-core CPU with 3D V-Cache. According to a mid-November leak, the 5700X3D and 5500X3D SKUs were in development, making the presence of the Ryzen 7 5700X3D unsurprising. More recently, ECSM_Official (via VideoCardz) suggested that at least one of these CPUs will be available in the first quarter, with the Ryzen 7 5700X3D planned to launch in that period.

A leaker has previously shared the specifications of the Ryzen 7 5700X3D, claiming it had a base clock speed of 3GHz and a boost frequency of 4.1GHz, a drop of 400MHz compared to the 5800X3D. It is important to note that this SKU will retain the same 96MB of L3 cache. However, details such as TDP, cost, and availability have yet to be confirmed. Currently, there is no updated information on the rumoured 5500X3D, which is expected to be a low-cost 6-core CPU.

Additionally, AMD is reportedly working on the Ryzen 5000GT series focusing on affordability, though specific SKU names are unknown.
