Fallout 4 has been announced! Heading to PC and new consoles

Fallout 4 is finally happening, after a couple of years of leaks, Bethesda has officially revealed the next game in the series. As previously suggested, the game is in-fact set in Boston and will be heading to the PC, Xbox One and PS4.

The countdown timer, which launched yesterday, ended up revealing box art for the title along with a trailer. The announcement didn't go entirely to plan though, as the Fallout 4 website accidentally went live about 40 minutes ahead of schedule. [yframe url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnn2rJpjar4′]

The trailer didn't show any gameplay but it did give us a decent look at the map. It also gives new players a good idea of what caused the world to turn in to such a desolate wasteland with flash backs to the nuclear detonations that kicked everything off.

The box art for the game will feature an image of the iconic brotherhood of steel helmet. There is no release date right now but hopefully we will see some gameplay and hear more information at E3 in two weeks.

KitGuru Says: It has been many years since the release of Fallout 3, which marked the last time Bethesda developed a game for the franchise. It is good to finally see the series return and hopefully we will get a 2015 release date. Are any of you looking forward to Fallout 4? What do you think of the Boston setting?

KitGuru Games: Omni-movement culminates 30 years of FPS innovation

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.

  1. graphics are disappointing, expected much more

  2. I’m whet whet whet!

  3. The last one had fairly average graphics for the consoles at the time, never mind the PC.

  4. Just hope it lands soon after I finish The Witcher 3, can’t wait 🙂

  5. Fallout 3 and NV look WAY better when you render it in 4k with DSR…

  6. Nikolas Karampelas

Please, please! Let it be more like NV than 3, there where so many details that made a big difference between the 2, what you did had impact in the world and it’s factions.

  7. Sure the same post modding community will be getting ready to make it extra special

  8. NV imho is one of the best games ever, I hope they get Obsidian in on other projects like that!

  9. It just looks sharper is all. It doesn’t make any of the graphics any better actually.

  10. No,,I think its ok

  11. being sharper is part of graphics and one of the biggest problem with fallouts graphics is all the jaggy’s which completely disappear in 4k.

  12. just look what modders did with skyrim graphics. use that as your benchmark then imagine what fallout 4 can look like on pc

  13. I see some people find the graphics unimpressive: fair enough, everyone has their own priorities and are perfectly entitled to their opinions, but for me it could have been made with Netimmerse and I would still buy it.
