Street Fighter V was announced sometime last year as a PlayStation 4 console exclusive, although the game will be coming to the PC as well. While at the time it wasn't clear whether or not the PS4 would have timed exclusivity over the Xbox One, Capcom has now shed some more light on its deal with Sony.
Basically, Street Fighter V won't be heading to the Xbox One at any point, apparently. In a statement sent to Gamespot yesterday, Capcom said: “One comment we see a lot is that something like a Super Street Fighter 5 is going to come out on Xbox. But the reality is that this is a real partnership. We are console exclusive for this franchise for this numbered run.”
“We’re not talking about how we’re handling post-launch content, but I can say the relationship with Sony does open doors for things we haven’t been able to do in the past. The relationship serves a gameplay and development purpose, and not just a marketing value.”
From the sounds of it, Sony has pitched in a lot towards the development of Street Fighter V, which is why we won't be seeing this instalment on Xbox at all. Microsoft made a similar deal with Square Enix by contributing significantly towards the next Tomb Raider title, although that one will eventually release on other platforms.

KitGuru Says: Console exclusives happen from time to time, it is never great to see a particular game limited to a platform but I doubt its a business practise that will end any time soon.
It just puts them in a bad light. Exclusives are bad for everyone.
