Getting Arkham knight PC port up to par ‘will take some time’

Warner Bros has spoken out on the on-going efforts to bring the Batman: Arkham Knight PC port up to par, warning gamers that these fixes are indeed “significant” and will “take some time” to implement. In other words, if you are waiting to play Rocksteady's final title in the Arkham series, you are going to be kept waiting a while.

In a post on the WB community forums, the company wrote: “Rocksteady is leading our team of developers and partners as we work on the PC performance issues that players have been encountering. The work is significant and while we are making good progress on improving performance, it will take some time to ensure that we get the right fixes in place”.

There is also a list of top priority fixes on the way:

  • Support for frame rates above 30fps in the graphics settings menu
  • Fix for low resolution texture bug
  • Improve overall performance and framerate hitches
  • Add more options to the graphics settings menu
  • Improvements to hard drive streaming and hitches
  • Address full screen rendering bug on gaming laptop
  • Improvements to system memory and VRAM usage
  • Nvidia SLI bug fixes
  • Enabling AMD Crossfire
  • Nvidia and AMD updated drivers

There is no current time frame for when the PC version of the game will be back up for sale or at a stage where those holding off can confidently play the game. While it is good that Warner Bros is so far being open about fixing the PC port and exactly what it is doing to fix the situation, none of this should have happened ion the first place.

KitGuru Says: I am looking forward to playing Arkham Knight when it is finally finished but this game really should have never released in the state it is currently in. Sure some people are getting acceptable performance but for the most part, the game just doesn't run very well on modern PC hardware.

  5. I don’t know why you think batman is some goodie twoshoes. lol…I just read your comment wondering if anyone at rocksteady has read a batman comic, watched a movie, ect because batman is a little more violent than most super heroes.

Batman is an anti-hero. He is a good guy, but does tend to be more violent towards the bad guys. He doesn’t follow the goodie goodie lines that the big super heroes follow. I think YOU need to go watch some movies or read some comics.

I know this but the point I’m trying to make there is that they’re just about crossing a line. I felt he was less on an antihero and more of an angry douchebag
