Fallout 4 is coming out this year, gameplay features shown off

If you are based in the UK then chances are, you slept through the Bethesda E3 conference, which took place in the early hours of the morning, so now is a good time to catch up. As you were expecting, Fallout 4 was shown off in detail, with a huge gameplay demo shown off live on stage and we even got a 2015 release date.

Fallout 4 will be shipping out on the 10th of November this year for the PC, Xbox One and PS4. There is even going to be a Pip-boy edition, which comes with a working Pip-boy for your wrist, its expensive though like any other collector's edition, coming in at $120. The cool thing about the pip-boy edition is that it comes pre-loaded with the app, giving you a ‘second-screen' experience with a real working pip-boy. The app will also be available for smartphones so you won't be missing out too much if you don't spring for the collector's edition.

In addition to all of that, we were treated to a lengthy gameplay demonstration (which you can see above), showing off the new dynamic character creation screen. As we suspected after the initial trailer, your character will have a voice this time around and you will be able to play as either a male or female character.

The game starts off pre-war, where you will find yourself in a house with your wife and son. The war goes down and you end up waking up in vault 111 two hundred years later. Obviously there is more to it than that but Bethesda did not want to spoil the story too much.

There is also a new crafting system, so for the first time, you will get to build your own shelter and customize it. It actually looks pretty in-depth so it is well worth watching

Aside from that, one more thing was announced. It's a new game for mobile platforms called Fallout Shelter, in which you are a vault overseer controlling everything, keeping the vault running and the residents happy. Bethesda was also pretty proud to announce that there will be no online connection required or cooldown timers, something that many free to play apps suffer from. The game is already available for iOS and will be on Android sometime today as well.

KitGuru Says: Now that was a lot of Fallout 4 news to wake up to! So far, the game is looking fantastic, heck I'm even a little excited about the apps. To top it all off, Fallout 4 will be out this year, which is pretty exciting news. What did you guys think of Bethesda's E3 conference? What did you think of the Fallout demo?

KitGuru Games: Omni-movement culminates 30 years of FPS innovation

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.

    I can’t wait for this game 😀
but is it just me or is the graphic not up to date? I hope for better graphic here in 2015. Or is they just doing the opposite of watch dogs and show not so good graphic and on release it’s awesome?
And will love to see some hairworks on the dog 😀
I know, i know. Better graphic is not all, but i just hope for more that’s all.

  3. Personally, I’d rather see TressFX than Hairworks, because TressFX works well on Nvidia cards AND AMD cards, while Hairworks (by design) doesn’t work on AMD cards.

I’d like to see ALL PC Gamers get to enjoy this game to its fullest, not just one group.

In the end, though, it’s a new Fallout game, and I’m going to be buying it and playing the hell out of it no-matter-what, even if the graphics look like vintage Fallout 3.
