Palworld sells 6 million copies in 4 days

Yesterday, we reported on the rapid success of the Pokemon-inspired open world monster collecting game ‘Palworld’ which sold an impressive 5 million copies in 3 days. This momentum has yet to slow down, with studio Pocketpair announcing that the game has now hit 6 million copies.

Making the announcement on Twitter, the team at Pocketpair revealed this latest milestone, saying “#Palworld has sold over 6 million copies in only 4 days! Our all-time peak player count has also surpassed 1.7 million. Thank you very much!!”

Having a peak concurrent player count of 1.7 million marks a notable rise when compared to yesterday’s 1.5 million. At the time, this put Palworld as the 3rd most concurrently played game in the history of Steam.

Since then, total concurrents have risen further, even beyond the 1.7 million; now resting at 1.86 million which makes it the second most concurrently played game ever – surpassing Counter Strike’s 1.81 million and only behind PUBG’s 3.2 million.

Considering Palworld has only been out for a couple days, it is possible that the game’s momentum will slow down from here on. That said, Palworld has so far only continued to grow bigger and bigger – and so it will be interesting to see how long this current streak continues on for.
