Rocksteady has finally got its act together and is working closely with the team over at Iron Galaxy Studios in order to get the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight up to scratch after its initial release fell flat and had to be pulled from Steam entirely.
The first patch for the game comes in at 67MB and brings some important fixes to the mix, such as allowing motion blur to be disabled in the .ini file, allowing users to verify their game files in Steam without having to re-download the whole game and fixing up a bug that disabled rain and ambient occlusion effects that are present in the console versions of the game.
Obviously all of that is just step one. Rocksteady does have a full list of fixes that it is working on right now on its forums. These fixes include removing the ridiculous 30 frames per second cap on the game and improving performance above 30fps while eliminating the hitching and stuttering.
SLI will be fixed eventually and Crossfire will be enabled for AMD users. When we tested the game ourselves we observed GPU memory usage as high as 5.5GB at 1080p, this is also being addressed. You can see the whole post, HERE.

KitGuru Says: It took a few days but it looks like Rocksteady is finally on the case with Arkham Knight on the PC. Hopefully the team can keep the patches rolling and have everything fixed up fairly quickly, although it could take some time depending on how bad the issues really are behind the scenes.
Whoever was calling the shots at the PC studio needs taking out the back and shooting.
That’s the problem, they hired a studio whose only development credits were mobile and console games.
This was a massive WB Epic fail in decided to outsource the game to ioS dev team
RockReadys had no hand in the PC up untill now and there doing some major dmg control and taking the heat for this fk up which is completely un fair for the dev.. Its Iron Galaxy and WB that should be taking the full flack for this mess
Gotta admit Rocksteady and WB are handling this amazingly well compared to some games I’ve seen in the past.
well I not sure about WB Im more willing to be RockReady is the one that step in for dmg control do to not wanting there Rep to be tarnished do to others… You really can’t blame them ether..
And no idea what WB was thinking , they used Iron Galaxy once already on there first game and that had major issues at launch. What should have happen is RockReady do all the versions like they did after the first game and have a longer dev Cycle..
Fking publishers and there releases dates etc and trying to make a quick buck vs quality
I’m not sure whether the way you’re spelling the studio’s name is intentionally wrong or not but I keep reading it as if Scooby Doo is saying it.
If it was intentional, I have to disagree, Rock-not-so-Ready for PC. So at least I agree with your last sentence on that note!
Hey don’t forget they did the PC version of Arkham Origins! (which also didn’t work pretty fucking badly xD)
But in all seriousness (and taking back an earlier comment of mine) Iron Galaxy does have experience, but the fact is they work better when their staff is selectively imbedded into an existing in-house team. What went wrong here is the PC version was outsourced entirely to the studio with apparantly no input or overseeing from Rocksteady or WB
First WB major fail on Dying Light release date outside of USA and now this :O 2 triple A games they have Messed up 🙁
Yeah, no development experience, they’ve done a couple ports? Not exactly the kind of crew you’d trust a AAA title to…
Anyone know when the patch will be released ?
I know they said it has landed but I’m not seeing anything in my Steam download queue.
Let’s see. They bassically have to remake the PC version from the ground up, or they can fuck around trying to fix the countless bugs, both options take a good while, remember that this is supposedly the last game in the series so they’re not splitting their workforce, but will end up doing anyway, factor in the endless, needless delays that apparently everyone has to do…..
2018.
What about Arkham Origins? Not only did it barely work but the guys who wrote the story clearly have never read a Batman comic or even played an Arkham game in their life.
And then there are the countless bad jokes.
And the fact that they portray Batman is a brutal, intimidating douche:
“Please! I give up, just don’t hurt me!” – Random enemy
“Don’t worry, it will only hurt when you breathe.” – Batman
I’m sorry, superHERO? Good guy? what?
I don’t think WB cares that they’re hiring companies to butcher their franchises
Yeah I got all that I’m not brain dead but they said and I quote –
“The first patch for Arkham Knight on PC has landed”
Now to any English speaker that means the first patch is here.
I agree with dicehunter… think of it this way, if someone says a plane has landed you assume it means it’s on the ground and is therefore accessible
Personally I don’t need much patching, mine works well enough that I can play it (not perfect, I admit, some slight issues here and there with jumpy moments, but certainly not game breaking stuff)… I’m still keeping tabs on it all though because I kinda feel bad because I can play it and so many of you guys can’t
Same I’m playing it without many issues although it is getting a lot of texture popping but apart from that I haven’t had a single problem 🙂
it’s already here
I want to believe that it was one of those mistakes where everyone that is logical says no and then the person in charge doesn’t listen and says yes. Not the best of situations but hopefully it’ll all be sorted before Christmas so when I can get a new GPU it’ll work awesomely. xD
Really ? Oh sweet let me click on this scamming site and give you all my info………
Go eat a dick.

Thanks for the info, Still hasn’t shown up on my Steam, Maybe different regions get it at different times 🙂
Right, so someone at that studio got that call to be contracted and said “yes” when they probably had no right to. They’ve bitten off more than they can chew, obviously.
I mean seriously, shipping for PC with a 30 FPS lock? Anyone who though that was going to go down well needs help.
Quality control, what dat?
“Rocksteady has finally got its act together and is working closely with the team over at Iron Galaxy Studios”
Really..Choosing Galaxy Studio again when they where the reason for the bad port in the first place…To me that seems really unprofessional and stupid. Please just fix it or make a new one from the bottom so we on the Pc can get the game we been waiting for.
Wouldn’t texture pop ins mean you’ve had a single problem?
A lot more than 2 messed up games. You must have lost count somewhere haha
To be honest…Batman was always more of an anti-hero than a superhero. He does things different than other super heroes and goes to further lengths to get what he needs out of suspects that he knows to be guilty.
That’s why I said, Apart from that.
I’m just givin ya crap 😛
yes lost count at two dose a company need more than two fails in a row ?
It’s sort of worse if they can rush out a fix quickly that resolves all your issues. It underlines how few fu#%s they gave about the PC release that they just need to tweak it a bit to make it work but didn’t pre-release.
