Microsoft’s Elite Wireless Controller is up for pre-order in the UK

Back at E3, Microsoft revealed its brand new controller for the PC and Xbox One. The Elite wireless controller aims to offer gamers much more customization by adding extra buttons, button remapping capabilities and complete control over sensitivity. However, that all comes at a price.

The Xbox One Elite Controller has been available for pre-order in the US for a with a hefty price tag of $150. Now the controller is available to pre-order here in the UK, exclusively at GAME, for £119.99.

The thumb sticks and the D-pad are modular, so you can switch those out to suit your own preference, the controller also comes in a premium feeling design and makes use of stainless steel for higher level build quality over the regular plastic controllers.

It's not for everyone, after all, £120 is a lot of money for a controller but if you've got the cash then the option is there. It is worth pointing out that third party companies have made similarly customizable controllers in the past so it may be worth looking around if you are in the market for a controller like this one.

  1. I use a controller on the PC and I <3 my Razer controller (Not for FPS though, Keyboard/Mouse onry) but I'd be tempted by this if it works on a PC as 3rd party peripherals can often prove unrelyable and have a god awful returns policy
