Back at Intel Innovation 2023, we had a sneak peek at the iGPU found in Intel's upcoming Meteor Lake processors, which will be released next month under the new Intel Core Ultra branding. Now, some leaks a giving us a better idea of what to expect, with one benchmark listing putting the Core Ultra 7 155H's integrated graphics on par with the Radeon 780M.
The latest benchmark result shared online is from the Geekbench OpenCL benchmark database (via VideoCardz), which shows a 16C/22T Core Ultra 7 155H processor with an Arc iGPU on a new Asus Zenbook 14 laptop. According to the listing, the CPU's base clock is 3.8GHz, but it can boost up to 4.8GHz. As for the iGPU, it features eight Xe-Cores and a 2.25GHz clock speed.
Searching for Radeon 780M iGPU scores, the new Intel integrated graphics seem capable of matching its performance, scoring 33,948 points. In comparison, the highest Radeon 780M scores we've found on the same benchmark are around 34K points.
Looking ahead, the Xe-LPG architecture that powers the Arc-integrated graphics in Meteor Lake processors will likely bring some competition to the ultra-low-power gaming segment. It remains to be seen how these graphics will perform in actual games, as OpenCL benchmarking may not tell the whole story.
