Dynasty Warriors studio is working on an Attack on Titan game

Both the Attack on Titan manga and anime have been huge hits in Japan and over here in the west. We've had a 3DS game based on the series but we haven't really had a fully-fledged non-handheld game just yet. Fortunately for fans of the series, that is set to change next year as an Attack on Titan game is heading to the PS4, PS3 and Vita.

Now the Sony exclusivity isn't a huge surprise, anime titles have always had a larger presence on Sony's platform than Xbox. The game is using the title ‘Attack on Titan' as a placeholder until publisher Koei Tecmo come up with something different. We have a short teaser trailer as well, which you can see below:

Unfortunately, aside from that teaser we don't have a whole lot left to talk about. We can see that the game is set to use a cell-shaded style, which usually looks good in anime titles. The game is being developed by Omega Force, the studio behind Dynasty Warriors, so that may give us a hint for what to expect from the gameplay.

Omega Force is actually a pretty solid developer overall and it has done big licensed projects in the past. Most notably, the studio was behind Hyrule Warriors, which was very well received on the Wii U and will soon land on the 3DS. Either way, it will be interesting to see how this one turns out.

KitGuru Says: Attack on Titan has plenty of concepts that would be fun to see in a video game. Unfortunately, the 3DS title was a little underwhelming but it will be good to see what Omega Force can come up with for the PS4.
