Rating: 8.0.

Corsair is a company usually known for its cases, components and peripherals and not usually for its desks. That's all about to change, with the release of the Platform:6, a modular desk system that aims to cater to all. Standing option are available, along with nifty features like integrated pegboards and a rail mount system. Can this premium desk live up to its very premium price tag?

Pros:

  • Lots of desk space.
  • Very versatile with regards to attaching lights & mics etc.
  • Very good build quality of desktop, legs and all main structural parts.
  • Wood finish looks and feels very, very premium.

Cons:

  • Very expensive.
  • Plastic storage/pegboard trays break easily.
  • Open cable management tray doesn’t hide cables well enough.

KitGuru says: Corsair have produced a rock solid desk and have nailed the fundamental features that make the Platform 6 feel like a premium product. The quality in the construction and main structural integrity of the desk as a whole is exceptional. However, the package is very slightly let down by poor quality in the pegboard attachments and cable trays. Plastic being used for these parts is disappointing when considering the very high price. Overall, the Platform:6 is a premium product that delivers quality where it matters and we'd love to see some improvement to the finishing touches.
