Cougar unveils new Motorsport-inspired Hotrod gaming chairs

While most gaming chairs are designed to resemble a racing bucket seat, Cougar's new Motorsport-inspired Hotrod series packs a few standout features. The most unique part of the Hotrod is its fibreglass-reinforced shell, providing more flex at the back of the chair compared to others on the market.

The Cougar Hotrod has a unique PA Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastic shell that provides enough flex and resistance to withstand sudden movements and sharp turns. At the same time, the multi-density cushion of the backrest adapts to your body and provides support where you need it most. Plus, the integrated head cushion is height-adjustable, something we usually only see on ‘ergonomic' chairs.

The body-embracing design of the Hotrod offers a multi-zone backrest anchored to a hard external FRP shell to provide optimum support for your body while moving. With a 150º reclining angle, piston lift height adjustment, and ‘RocX!' tilt tension adjustment, it shouldn't take too long to find a comfortable position. The Hotrod is upholstered in premium Hyper-Dura leatherette, offering 12 times more resistance to wear and tear than regular coverings. Moreover, the gas lift cylinder is equipped with a Class 4 gas lift cylinder for safety, reliability, and smooth operation.

If you're looking for something similar but a little more premium, then the Hotrod Royal is also available, offering silent chair wheels, a multi-tilt mechanism and 4D armrests.

The Cougar Hotrod is now available in the US for $299.99, while the Royal version goes for $349.99. In EMEA, the two will be released later this month, with the standard model going for €339.99 and the Royal model for €449.99.
