It has been over a decade since Dragon's Dogma first launched. Over the years, the game has garnered a cult following but Capcom is hoping to expand the series' reach with a long-awaited sequel, Dragon's Dogma 2. Ahead of a showcase for the game later this evening, the game's release date has leaked once again.
Hours ahead of Capcom's planned livestream, the Steam Store page for Dragon's Dogma 2 was accidentally updated early. The page briefly showed a release date set for the 22nd of March 2024. This date matches an earlier leak from the PEGI games ratings board and given how close we are to Capcom's official announcement, this information is likely legitimate and accurate.
Interestingly, Capcom had previously hinted at a major project slated for release in Q1 2024 during discussions with shareholders. The leaked release date confirms that Dragon's Dogma 2 is indeed the undisclosed project, dispelling speculation about a secret new project in one of Capcom's other renowned franchises, such as Monster Hunter or Resident Evil.
Capcom's upcoming 15-minute livestream, scheduled for 9 PM GMT, promises an exclusive look at Dragon's Dogma 2 gameplay and insights into what fans can expect from the sequel.

KitGuru Says: I tried getting into Dragon's Dogma for the first time a few years ago thanks to the remaster. However, I just couldn't gel with it. I do hope that the sequel is a bit more polished and easier to get to grips with from the early stages of the game. Will you be checking out the Dragon's Dogma 2 stream later this evening?
