Android 6.0 Marshmallow to launch very soon

Google has been tinkering and wrapping things up with Android 6.0 Marshmallow for a few months now. Throughout the year, developers have had access to preview test builds but the official roll out has yet to begin. Right now, Google is expected to announce the new LG Nexus 5 and Huawei Nexus 6 on the 29th of September, following that, Android 6.0 Marshmallow will start rolling out on the 5th of October.

That date is according to the site, Mobilesyrup, which has come across a software release schedule form a network operator. The schedule states that the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 will get Android Marshmallow on the 5th of October.

The Nexus devices are usually the first to get the latest version of Android so presumably, the two new smartphones will launch at a similar time. It will then be up to other mobile carriers and manufacturers to roll out the latest version of Android to their own customers, which could take months.

We have already heard plenty of rumours about both new Nexus devices, with details on specifications and even a few leaked images. The biggest news here is the return of the Nexus 5, a previous fan favourite device that was replaced last year.
