Turtle Beach’s latest controller aims to make stick drift a thing of the past and packs a built-in display

Turtle Beach recently introduced a new game controller, the Stealth Ultra wireless controller for Xbox and PC. This latest addition to their product line has various features and personalisation possibilities, featuring a built-in display, a rapid charge dock and AntiDrift thumbsticks.

One of the key features of the Stealth Ultra is its wireless connection. It uses Turtle Beach's low-latency technology to connect to Xbox consoles and PCs, and Bluetooth for Smart TVs and Android devices. The controller also includes tactile microswitches that provide quicker response times and a longer lifetime than traditional controller buttons. Additionally, the AntiDrift thumbsticks feature Hall Effect sensors for enhanced precision, and the controller offers extra thumbstick covers for customisation.

The Connected Command display on the Stealth Ultra allows gamers to change settings such as RGB lighting, music, thumbstick sensitivity, and button mapping directly from the controller. It also enables phone notifications, making it easy for players to stay updated without interrupting their gameplay. The controller also features dual-rumble motors for vibration feedback, which can also be configured via the Connected Command Display.

The body of the controller is coated with a soft-touch material and it even has micro-cooling channels to combat sweaty hands. On the back, you'll find extra mappable quick-action buttons, as well as adjustments for the trigger stops so you can switch between short or longer actuation.

Finally, the controller also ships with a low-profile charging station that you can place on your desk or near the TV to quickly charge up the controller as and when needed. In all, the controller is rated for 30 hours of use on a single charge.

The Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra is available for pre-order for £179.99 and will be launched on December 15th. The controller comes with a hardshell travel bag for convenience.

KitGuru says: The Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra may be the first third-party controller to rival the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller. Of the two, which one would you prefer?
