While we typically see leaks for monthly PlayStation Plus games and previously would regularly see leaks for Xbox's Games with Gold program, it is rare to see a month's Xbox Game Pass update leaked ahead of time. That has changed this month, with twelve games now confirmed to be joining the Game Pass library in the first half of December.
Legendary leaker, bilbil-kun, who has a perfect track record when it comes to upcoming free games or updates to game subscription services, has revealed the first batch of titles heading to Xbox Game Pass this month and there are some pretty big hitters to be found.
As of today, Remnant: From the Ashes and the more recently released Remnant II, are available to Game Pass subscribers for PC, Console and Cloud. Both games feature a fun twist on the souls-like genre, thanks to its frenetic ranged and melee combat, putting players up against massive bosses. Both titles also offer co-op, so you can get a group of friends together to take on the challenge.
Other games joining Game Pass in the first two weeks of December include:
- SteamWorld Build (Cloud, Console and PC) – Available Day One on December 1st
- Far Cry 6 (Cloud, Console and PC)
- World War Z: Aftermath (Cloud, Console and PC)
- Goat Simulator 3 (Cloud, Console and PC)
- Rise of the Tomb Raider (Cloud, Console and PC)
- Against the Storm (PC)
- Clone Drone in the Danger Zone (Cloud, Console and PC)
- Tin Hearts (Cloud, Console and PC)
- While the Iron's Hot (Cloud, Console and PC)
- Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition (Cloud, Console and PC)
There will be another nine games joining Game Pass in the second half of December, but we won't know what those games are until later in the month.
Aside from the games joining the main Game Pass library, Microsoft is also making its first expansion to Xbox Game Pass Core, a service that replaced Xbox Live Gold for consoles earlier this year with access to a smaller selection of games. Starting this month, Game Pass Core subscribers will gain access to Chivalry II and Totally Reliable Delivery Service.
KitGuru Says: If you have Game Pass, I do recommend giving the Remnant games a shot, especially if you have some people you can rope into co-op with you. If not, I'm sure both titles will be on sale again soon when the Steam Winter sale drops.
