Boulies Elite Max Gaming Chair Review

Rating: 7.5.

The Elite series of gaming chairs from Boulies is described as being ‘inspired by automotive seats'. Can a gaming chair, taking inspiration from something found in an expensive car, deliver a great experience when sitting at a desk playing video games? With its generous 135kg weight support and minimalist styling, it certainly looks the part, but how did it fare when I put it through its paces?

Pros:

  • Great design and looks (on the charcoal grey fabric model we reviewed).
  • Good quality armrests.
  • Comfortable.
  • Well suited to larger/heavier users.

Cons:

  • Expensive.
  • Lack of adjustable lumbar support (a cushion is provided).
  • Lack of adjustable seat depth.

KitGuru says: Overall the Elite Max chair from Boulies is a solid gaming chair that is well suited to larger gamers. However, it is let down slightly by a lack of adjustable lumbar support or seat depth adjustment. A a few quality control issues such as a small mark on the five star base and a broken side cover bring the overall score down slightly. The minimalistic design of the chair is the highlight, especially on the charcoal grey finish we featured in the review, the colours and branding help keep the chair looking clean and ensure it will fit in gaming setups of most themes.
