Twitch streamer arrested, then robbed live on stream

Earlier this week, a Twitch streamer got a visit from the police. It wasn't a false swatting complaint, this time it was a noise complaint from a neighbour in the same apartment complex. Unfortunately for this streamer, the police turning up at his door was just the start of his problems. After a good ten minutes or so of arguing with the officer at his front door, the streamer was arrested, with the stream left on in the background and someone came in to his home twice to steal his belongings.

When the police officer initially showed up at Mr_13ig's door, he was asked for his name for a background check. In the middle of this, a man walked past and began to take pictures, which didn't help matters and spurred the argument further. Eventually, Mr_13ig was taken in to the hallway and arrested.

Unfortunately it looks like the uploader has disabled video embedding, so you will have to click on the video title to view it on YouTube.

Nobody locked the door on the way out, so around ten minutes later, the same man who was caught taking pictures of the scene returned to rob the apartment, taking a headset, some shoes and what looks to be a wallet and phone. The man got in to the apartment twice, making off with belongings before an officer came back to actually lock the apartment door.

Fortunately, since the thief was caught on camera, he was swiftly caught and is now in jail. All of the belongings were also returned.

KitGuru Says: As Twitch grows bigger and bigger, we are likely going to see more strange things happen from time to time. Fortunately in this case, the stream being live helped catch a thief and nothing was lost in the end.

The launch of the new Intel Core Ultra 200S family of CPUs along with Z890 motherboards was a thorny process. This is kinda shitty/. Ugh.

  2. isn’t the 4th amendment supposed to prevent being arrested like this? i mean a noise complaint isn’t really an arrestable offense unless its tagged onto something else, did he hit the cop or something?

  3. agree unless you are being aggressive towards cops, there would be no reason for a arrest, but usually normal people would agree to lover the volume a bit

  4. guy deserved all of that. being a noisy plick. then being argumentative. and douchey. they should have taken his PC too so he couldn’t let his ego inflate because he had a whole 70 ppl watching his stream. what a douche

  5. that cop was just looking for something to take him in for after the guy said he wouldnt be so loud the cops could of just left but they always want to run peoples names cuz cops always looking for more and more cuz he dont want to do all that paperwork for just telling someone to not be so loud

  6. Well you can talk all you want, they can’t arrest you for Freedom of Speech. Once you become Physical then yeah, but this is also within his own home.

  7. Go live in you dictatorship

  8. LOL im 1/2 American
when you disturb the peace at 12am cause ur so friggin important streaming to 50-70 ppl doesnt mean you can keep ppl up at night.
All he had to do was keep it down. and the cop wanted his name to write into the incident log for his watch commander so he knew what he had done, and warning issued for or if cops got called out again. perfectly legal.
hed already committed a breach of the peace. he was obligated at that point to show ID for a citation/warning or summons

  10. guy was asking for it, and he deserved it. fag*ots like those making big deal out of literally nothing should learn a lesson. i was hoping camera not there so he could get robbed blinded as he caused the whole hassle himself. cop was extremely nice trying to complain, trying to calm him down, pricks like him are everywhere in this world deserve to be treated way worse. next time i see cop hit him i’ll LAUGH OUT LOUD.
