Back when all of the OnePlus Two rumours were floating around earlier this year, quite a few reports suggested that we would see two smartphones launch this year. The OnePlus 2 launched over the Summer and now, we are being teased with a new offering, which will launch on the 29th of October. The device maker announced its launch event over on Twitter, along with the tagline ‘powerfully beautiful'.
The image posted merely shows the letter X, so we can assume that the device will be called the OnePlus X.
Unfortunately, the rumour mill is pretty quiet on this one, so we don't actually know much in the form of specifications. We don't have any leaked images either, though that could change considering we are still around two weeks away from the official announcement. There has been talk of a OnePlus Mini this year, which would offer users a smaller device, after all, not everyone wants to use a 5.5-inch device. However, that rumour hasn't been confirmed and no leaks have surfaced to support it.
Back when the OnePlus Two was announced, the announcement event was streamed in virtual reality for those who have a Google Cardboard VR headset for smartphones. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like there are similar plans for this event on the 29th.

KitGuru Says: OnePlus has become a very popular company, very quickly, which is largely down to its approach to smartphone pricing. However, by the sounds of it, we may be looking at a more premium device with the OnePlus X, so it will be interesting to see how people react to it.
And what about Oneplus Mini? It was announced and rumored to arrive in Oct/Nov. GSMArena (and maybe others too) has detailed specs of it…
After my OnePlus One running OxygenOS, I’m certainly not buying from this company until they sort their software support out! Getting my 6P on the 26th anyway.
Lol, great one! You should know that oneplus one isn’t running on oxygenOS, it’s android 4.4 (kitkat) based on cyanogenmod, there are no connections to oxygenOS in any way as it wasn’t ready to use OS back then.
I don’t understand if you understand…
The specs on oneplus one says it is based on cyanogenmod, I don’t know exactly if the specs were updated when oxygenOS was released, though if you don’t like the OS, flash the original, real cyanogenmod to your phone.
Well if your knowledge on the device isn’t specific, don’t assume!
